PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT
Initial assessment lasts at least one hour taking into account your presenting complaint and involves a lot of biographical as well as the necessary clinical information gathering. The outcome is a formulation of the nature of the problem and a management plan to address it.
Follow up consultations are usually for half an hour, but can be longer if clinically necessary or at the patient’s request.
